Spring Shawl with angel wings

Say hello to Lozza, a bright, fun deep “angel wings” cotton shawl for Spring and Summer.

This was such a fun pattern to make, from choosing the Paintbox Simply Cotton yarn to finishing off with the gorgeous “Blossom” edging.

If you can chain, slip stitch and US double crochet/UK treble crochet then you can make this, yes including the border!

Paintbox Yarns Simply Cotton for my shawl

Paintbox Yarns Simply Cotton was a delight to work with. It is a dk weight yarn, I’d say on the thicker end of the dk scale, with great stitch definition and a load of colours to choose from.

You can use any yarn, I chose 100% cotton because I made Lozza for my mum for Mother’s Day. She lives in Sydney and is known affectionately as Lozza, thus the name. You’re famous, ma!

The pattern is written to match the image, but you can make the shawl your own by adding extra rows and more or less colour changes.

I especially love the fun and pretty blossom stitch edging which I designed to join as you go rather than sewing on individual flowers.
